House painting

Today I visited old friends. I took some Garrigues- spring strawberries from region and was invited to lunch in the garden. I wanted to paint their house, an old castle where the family has lived for over 400 years. This is what I came up with this afternoon. The perspective was difficult; sitting where I was distorted the tall roof caps of the fortified towers.

Curtain of wisteria, mushrooms and fresh eggs welcome me home

"Cata-RINE!"
Eugene bellows my name from the road. I rub the sleep from my eyes and stumble down the steps.
"Tiens. J'ai des champignons pour toi."
Mushroom omelet for breakfast- yum. I get dressed quickly, put on the kettle, and hurry down to Mme Bouyssou for some fresh milk and eggs.
It's good to be home
